Amber has practiced intellectual property law for many years, and her practice includes patent application/prosecution across diverse technical fields.
In addition to private practice, Amber previously worked in Shanghai for four years as Head IP counsel at a joint-venture automotive company, which enables her to handle IP matters from the company’s perspective.
As a native Chinese speaker, Amber managed US clients’ patent portfolios and trademark portfolios in China. Amber also expands the firm’s intellectual property expertise in China, where her clients include multinational technology and entertainment conglomerates and holding companies, medical device companies, and universities.
While in law school, Amber received the Diversity Excellence Scholarship from University of Oregon and the prestigious Sidney B. Williams, Jr. Scholarship from the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). Amber also was the President of the Oregon Patent Law Association for 2019.
Prior to attend law school, Amber was an engineer with State of Utah and State of Oklahoma.
